Dear friends,

I inform you that the Presidency has organized two meetings of ongoing formation called the “school of leaders” for the GEXs. One has just finished in Latin America (Paraguay), the other will be held at the end of April in Europe (France). The first one was a repeat of those already done in Chile and Argentina. The second will be a continuation of the one held in Portugal last year.



These meetings are fundamental moments in the life of the Association of Past Pupils and aims at realizing our programme for young people. They attract our attention in the first place as a time for the growth of the Confederation in all the continents. I thank Ana Gomes and Diego Genes, who together with the Confederal Delegate, Don Monteiro, prepared the meeting.



At the beginning of this month I participated in the official session of the opening of the CG 26 in Rome, at the invitation of the Rector Major, Don Pascual Chavez. On that occasion a document was presented to all members of the General Chapter. (Some of them told me of their appreciation for the concreteness of the message.)



Subsequently, on the occasion of the Centenary of the FMA Past Pupils in Turin, I sent a message of congratulations to their President, Carolina Fiorica.



During Lent and Easter our association has been receiving an intense formation in all our local groups. The Strenna of the Rector Major is at the centre of all our activities as a source of strength for all of us It is a great help for us to live as members of the Salesian Family.
